These 3 compounds were predominant in the extract of PCP, as described by Deng et al.32 To obtain 3 pinocembrin derivatives, the ethanol crude extract from PCP stem was subsequently extracted with petroleum benzine and ethyl acetate, followed by HDP 500 column chromatography and preparative HPLC. The 80% ethanol eluate of HDP 500 was analyzed by analytical HPLC (Figure 1(a)), in comparison with Thonningianin A (obtained from Sichuan WeiKeqi Biological Technology Co., Ltd, Chengdu, China) (Figure 1(b)) | ||
